International Affiliation
When it opened in 1997, Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA) began the first academic exchange agreement with Illinois State University in the U.S. Currently DIMA has an academic exchange agreement with 10 schools from 5 countries.
Through the agreements with prestigious colleges of media and arts in each country, specially selected students are transferred or exchanged, and prominent teaching staffs also participate in exchange programs in order to share new academic approaches and broadcasting technology.
International Academic Exchange
Created out of the academic exchange agreement with the Illinois State University in USA in 1997, DIMA has established active academic relationships with 10 schools from 5 countries. Through the agreements with prominent colleges in the field of broadcasting and arts, we run transfer and exchange system from which many selected students benefit each year, and function as a venue for academic and broadcasting technology exchange among faculties.
Exchange (Professor/Student) Program
Exchange program since created in Mar. 2002 with the Illinois State University has extended into the programs with California State University, Fullerton, and Belhaven College as well. These programs have also brought in students and professors who shared their ideas on culture and arts with DIMA students, instilling hope into them, and academic exchange has enhanced the scholarly communication among students and faculty from different cultures.
Entrance Program
Students who want to tread the path of deeper learning can enter Illinois State University, the Art Institute of Chicago in the U.S.A, Communication University of China, and Shepkin Theater School in Russia as juniors after graduation.
Short-Term Training Program
Connecting with the foreign language academy under the control of the Continuing Education Center, established in 2003, we provide broadcasting practice (Illinois State University, USA) and language training (China, Russia, USA, and Japan) programs during the summer vacation. Through these opportunities, you can take part in the university support program fulfilled by each broadcasting station connected with each college sin 2004 as well as language training at a low price.
Take-off to the World
DIMA has cultivated professional broadcasters with international sensibilities by running various international academic exchange programs, and substantial exchanges with prominent foreign colleges will be extended for the purpose of cultivating men of ability.
Transfer Program
Those who wish to learn more are able to transfer to the junior year in the Illinois State University, Communication University of China, Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, Schepkin theatrical Institute, and VGIK of Russia after graduation.
International Summer School
Summer training programs of broadcasting practice (the Illinois Sate University) and language courses (in China, Russia, USA, and Japan) are supported by DIMA with scholarships providing basic accommodations and board. Considerately selected students through written exam and interview are trained to be future leader in the media and art fields. The chosen students can enjoy not only the opportunities of learning languages but of experiencing exotic foreign cultures at affordable prices.
International Internship
For 2 year college graduates struggling to find a job due to economic slowdown, 'International Internship program' presents chances for them to grow to be internationally competitive talents and the program awakens students to international trends and needs of globalized times, encouraging to set up their own businesses or to be employed by foreign companies stationing in Korea or Korean companies operating in foreign countries.
