Life in KOREA

Korean culture has been made of over five thousand years and has its own strong originality. The identity of Korean culture is from the sociocultural characteristics of Korean people, and Confucianism and Buddhism. Also, three sides of the country are surrounded by the ocean called the Yellow Sea, the East Sea, the South Sea, 2/3 of the whole nation is mountain areas, which makes plains surrounded by mountains are used as farm lands. The weather conditions of distinctive four seasons of the nation enable agriculture and farming for thousands of years. The main meals in these days are still mostly grains and vegetables by farming. After the rapid indulge of Western Culture, however, Korea has been so industrialized and urbanized. Now people can find two extremes; developed cities and traditional farm lands.
